11 Seconds From The Anime Directed By Seijun Suzuki (NSFW?)

so… apparently Seijun Suzuki directed an anime? truly, the glories of wikipedia never cease. oh, and it wasn’t just any anime, but a Lupin III film (an iconic japanese property that i tend to associate with the television show, but Miyazaki’s Castle of Cagliostro is an all-time favorite).

the 1985 film called Lupin III: Legend of the Gold of Babylon is only available on VHS, but i found a clip of it on youtube and… well, it’s as feverishly ridiculous as you would expect of a Suzuki film in which the most deranged hired gun of them all was freed from the few real-world constraints he hadn’t already managed to circumvent.

i’m told by folks in the know that the film is pretty terrible, but if anyone out there can point me towards a copy of this thing, please do me a kindness and lemme know.
