The Guardian, who understandably gets the itch to run that “Stanley Kubrick” byline, every once in a while, today re-published some thoughts that the filmmaker had scribbled for The Observer back in 1960, as Kubrick was releasing Spartacus into the world and in pre-production on Lolita (how would they ever make a movie about that!?).
